The Elephants Are Here: The Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Circus arrives in Nashville

I’m not afraid to admit that I personally LOVE elephants. Mainly, it’s because I am a huge University of Alabama fan but our family also enjoys running right over to the elephant exhibit when we visit the fantastic Nashville Zoo. Knowing this, you’ll understand why I felt like a kid watching today’s live elephant’s parade through downtown Nashville!

The Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey circus has invaded Nashville and today was the famed “Elephant Walk” where they lead elephants down to Bridgestone Arena to get ready for the big show. Armed with cups of delicious hot cocoa from Coffee, Lunch we were able see these beautiful animals up close. Though some people believe this is unfair treatment of animals, we couldn’t help but notice how happy the elephants seemed as they held “hands,” (their trunks holding the tail of the one walking in front of them).

I’m really looking forward to their performance this weekend at the circus (Jan 25-27) and personally, can’t wait to witness this again next year!
