This weekend we surprised our two-year-old daughter with her first trip to see the Christmas lights at Shadrack’s. It’s a tradition that my family always had during Christmas—we would pull through two neighborhoods and be done with it–but now that she is old enough to get into the holiday we thought we would reinvigorate the tradition.
Fortunately for us Nashvillians, Shadrack’s Christmas Wonderland takes holiday lights to a whole new level. As we pulled into the site my daughter yelled, “I AM SO HAPPY!!!” Shadrack is the world’s largest drive-through, fully synchronized, LED Christmas light and music show (the Christmas music is piped through your own radio station) and will get you in the spirit, no matter how old you are.
We let my daughter out of her car seat to view the lights from the front seat (only because you drive less than 5 mph) and she was absolutely mesmerized.

After you drive through the light show, there are plenty of activities for kids inside their onsite tent: petting zoo, bounce houses, fire pit to roast s’mores. And, if you haven’t done it yet, you can even get in a visit with Santa. Enjoy the show!
Shadrack’s Christmas Wonderland is open from dusk to 10 p.m. nightly through January 6.

This Christmas was my first opportunity to visit this event. It is such a sight to be seen and have already been recommending it to friends for next year. It’s kind of hard to not stop and stare, creating a massive parking lot in front of the houses!
